Can anyone troubleshoot my laptop problem from this description?
So I have a laptop with XP loaded on it. Got it a FEW days ago. Been using it and everything HAD Been fine ... network card, monitor, processor, etc .... But last night my laptop died: (I went to restart it and it will not load windows. It stops at this black screen That says like "Press F11 to boot, Del to run setup, etc." And the keyboard will not accept commands. Like ... I press the keyboard and nothing happens. Because It's weird Right Before I restarted it everything was working fine except the network card, Which Was cutting out for some reason. What Could Be The Problem? Before I send it back to the manufactuer or take it Into a local shop, I'd like to Know What the Problem Could Be. Also, as a side question, is taking a laptop Into a shop to be troubleshot and Repair a good idea? I have a feeling That most stores will just do a repair job Shotty and bleed my wallet dry.
Your computer has a SERIOUS problem and You Need to Have a pro handle it. Take it to a Circuit city or similar place and get an opinion. sounds to me like your hard drive is dead.
