My verizon wireless card will not fit into my new computer.?

Using verizon wireless for internet access. The card fits into the PCMCIA slot in my older Dell computers. Just purchased an HP notebook, which has a slot that looks (on the outside) like the slot on the Dell computer. But when I try to insert the card, it does not fit. Is there some kind of adapter available?

The new computers have express card slots. There are two different sizes. The smaller will work in the larger, but not viceversa. The owners manual will tell you which size you have. If you search on the web for express cards, you will find some companies that offer Express to PCMCIA cable adapters.
