Slow Windows start up on the company network?

I have a HP/Compaq nc6400 notebook computer with a dual core processor and 2GB of RAM. When I am at home or traveling the notebook starts up and is ready to access the desktop within 30 seconds. When I am at the office, I put the notebook in a docking station which is connected to the company network. It takes over 7 minutes from the time I log onto windows to the time I can access the desktop. Any thoughts would be appricated...Thanks in advance

I agree with the post above talk to your the administrator, 7 minutes is a long time to check out PC/ logon script and authenticate - sounds like your domain server is slow..

IF your domain server is slow - you shouldn't be the only one, other laptop/docking station should have this same problem
