Average prices for GOOD laptops and digital cameras?

I have some money to buy a laptop and if i can im going to get a new digital camera too. What are some average prices for these things? And what are the best brands for them too? Thanks =]

The Nikon is pretty good and reasonable prices, I've never had a problem and they produce clear, good pictures. the best thing is to go to the stores and test the displays. Another great one is Sony, very clear pictures and the delay is short when taking a picture. I love my sony, it is a bit pricy but worth it. It offers a Smile feature in which it automatically takes pictures when a child/adult smiles without needing to click on the button!

laptops go from 400 and up. Look for a laptop that you can upgrade, most have vista on them, so make sure you check the memory size, best if it's 2gb and up. I have a toshiba with 2gb, and never had issues with vista. Dell is another good one along with hp as long as teh hp isn't a compaq.Don't get a compaq,they crap out after awhile.

Just do research and reviews on this online. I used bestbuy.com and checked out the reviews for my toshiba and most loved it. I also checked around to make sure the price of the laptop was reasonable.

Another factor that you need to consider is the use of your computer, if you are mainly on for internet, then you don't really need to worry about a lot of features, the more features, usually the more it cost. If you are into gaming, then you need to check the graphic/video card.
