Asus Lamborghini VX2 Review

Asus Lamborghini VX2The extremely stylish and powerful Lamborghini VX2 from Asus is a must for any Lamborghini enthusiast or simply anyone who love the look and the performance of the VX2.
Is the Lambo VX2 all looks and no power? TrustedReviews takes a look at the VX2 under the hood and say, opening up the lid reveals a impressive widescreen 15.4in display featuring Asus’ Clear Shine technology - basically a high contrast and brightness coating, that certainly makes Windows Vista Ultimate look the part. Blues look particularly good and video was smooth. Viewing angle was pretty good too - there’s some colour shift and its better when from the sides, than it is horizontally, but it’s not nearly as extreme as some displays. Read more

Asus U1F Review

U1FUltra Portable is exactly what the Asus U1F is, at only 1kg and 276mm x 190mm x 24mm in dimensions. This tiny U1F even manages to squeeze in dual core CPU and 1gig memory. TrustedReviews take a look at the U1F and say there’s a 60GB hard disk taking care of storage, which may seem meagre by today’s notebook standards, but for most mobile users, it should be more than enough In fact the retail notebooks will ship with 80GB drives instead.

Asus G1 Review

Asus G1The Asus G1 is a mid priced 15-inch laptop in aimed at the gamer. Most gaming laptops come with a big price tag, but the G1 does not. Cnet have a review of the G1, and say, “Measuring 14 inches wide, 11.2 inches deep, and 1.6 inches high, the Asus G1 sits somewhere between the mainstream and desktop replacement classes of laptops. The physical measurements and 15.4-inch display say mainstream, while the sheer weight edges into the desktop replacement category–meaning this system is best set up on a semipermanent perch in your office, dorm, or computer room.”

Asus Lamborghini VX1 Review

The Asus Lamborghini VX1 is a Centrino laptop. My review model came with a Core Duo T2500 processor clocked at 2GHz, although models with a Core 2 Duo processor will be available soon, Asus tells me. The chipset is the Intel 945PM, so there’s no integrated graphics. Asus has gone for the Nvidia GeForce Go 7400 VX with 512MB of Turbo Cache, which is a souped up version of the GeForce Go 7400 but still far from a suitable solution for gaming on the move. This is rather disappointing considering the Lamborghini badge, and one would think that Asus would’ve fitted a more powerful graphics chip into the VX1.

Around the keyboard is a metal surround under which the speakers have been hidden towards the front of the laptop. This gives the VX1 a more exclusive feel to it, but it doesn’t make up for the machine’s shortcomings.

Thanks to the square display the VX1 is also rather large - 33.1 x 27.2 x 2.6cm - but it’s not terribly heavy at 2.4kg, at least not compared to many other laptops with 15in displays. However, one gripe I had with it during usage was the very noisy fan - and this was during simple word processing or web browsing tasks, too.

Asus W2P HD-DVD Laptop

Asus have updated their W2 line of laptops by releasing the W2P, which builds on the popular W2J model and includes a HD-DVD slot drive.
The Asus W2P has obviously been designed around the idea of playing HD-DVDs and other media, the W2P is a great media system laptop. It supports HDCP, HDMI output, an impressive ATI Mobility Radeon X1700 256mb graphics, analog & digital TV tuner, Dolby surround sound and a 1,920 x 1,200 native resolution, which is ideal for HD content viewing.
As well as these great media specifications the W2P also has 802.11b/g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0 and 2GB of SDRAM and uses the latest Merom Core 2 Duo CPUs with either 4 or 2mb L2 cache.
