Is the Sony VAIO VGN-NW220 laptop a good laptop?

My dad bought one for me, but I can not find any reviews. I do not know if I say that is a good laptop or one that is not suitable for my needs (I need a sturdy laptop that will last a while - I'm going to college next year - I'm mostly going to use for casual web browsing, homework, music, etc. ..
