I want to build my own laptop if I could get the parties. But they sell parts such as RAM and hard drive, but no plates or screens.

Because there is no standard for size and how the case of a laptop, there is no standard for the system board. Each company has its own board designed to fit your own case, and then have them custom build. This was also the case for desktop systems when they started. Possible a rule based on the size, shape and original equipment design emerged IBM AT. Therefore, a standard system board is called "AT" on board. Now that portable computer sales have reached (or possibly exceeded) dekstop sales, do not be surprised if more companies decide to enter the notebook clone business.
