Laptop before or after Christmas?

I'm planning on getting a dell laptop. Right now they have the Inspiron 1525 on sale for $499. The starting price is originally $619, and there is an instant saving of $120. Also, right now there is free shipping.
What I'm wondering is if deals will improve after Christmas, or if this is as good as it's going to get? I can't imagine it getting much cheaper, but I think the current offers are good until early January, so I might be better off waiting it out just to be sure there isn't a better deal after Christmas.
Anyone know what I would be better off doing?

If I were you I'd forget all about dell, they are horrible. Bad tech support and their laptops have been know for all sorts of battery issues. Dell is not the compney they used to be way back when. Check these out.
